His interest in media, dancing and acting was so high since childhood. He began his acting career as a dancer and attended various dance studios across southern Ontario, including National Ballet School of Canada and Springboard Danse Montreal. At the age of 18, he auditioned and was accepted into the Juilliard School on a scholarship, making it one of two male Canadian dancers to be accepted onto the course.
